The 2nd Asian Australian Identities conference is about a month away 
and is shaping up to be a very stimulating event. 

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:
* Suvendrini Perera, Curtin University
* Penny Wong, Senator - South Australia
* William Yang, Performer and Artist, Sydney

Our invited special guests at AAI 2:
* VISUAL ARTS - Christine Clark, Owen Leong, Savanhdary Vongpoothorn, 
and Greg Leong
* WRITING - Simone Lazaroo, Michelle Bakar, Tom Cho, and Merlinda Bobis

In addition to these diverse speakers, we have sessions on issues 
including community politics, racialised identities, children's 
literature, cosmopolitics, diasporic popular cultures, and Victorian 
AA cultural histories. 

The conference will also host an Asian Australian cabaret, book 
launches, a closing conference reception, the launch of issue #3 of 
online journal _Peril_, and more. Check out the program for more
