Dear CSAA friends,
I convene the UTAS Media School seminar series in Hobart, and I wondered if there were any expressions of interest for presenting media research for this series? We are open to approaches that are from any part of the media/communications spectrum - especially ones with research impacts and outcomes for Tasmanians. Presentations are usually run live at the Media School, but it is also available for online audiences via Zoom.
We currently have some very limited availability for our August, September and October seminars. Presentation lengths can vary - from 15 mins to 45mins. The seminar dates coming up are:
1. Wednesday, 24th August (4:15-5:15pm AEST).
2. Wednesday, 28th September (4:15-5:15pm AEST)
3. Wednesday, 26th October (4:15-5:15pm AEST).
Presentations are usually held in person at the Media School, but for researchers who were not able to make it to Hobart, they could potentially participate remotely via online webinar. Unfortunately, there is no budget in 2022 for travel expenses to Hobart.
If this is of interest to you, just send me a quick response by return email - a couple of sentences about your proposed talk and a short bio is fine. Thanks for reading!
Kind regards,
Dr Gemma Blackwood
