Trans New Wave Cinema by Akkadia Ford book launch!

Welcoming filmmakers, colleagues, friends and allies to join in celebrating and discussing the timeliness of this  publication.

The book will be launched by Associate Professor Elizabeth Stephens, ARC Future Fellow and Associate Professor of Cultural Studies, University of Queensland; with a Q & A discussion with the author Dr. Akkadia Ford and participants to follow.

As a courtesy reminder, the launch will be held online on Wednesday 28th April at 12.00PM (AEST Australia).

For friends and colleagues joining the launch from the USA or Canada: the day/time is Tuesday April 27th at 7.00 pm (Pacific Time, West Coast).

Akkadia Ford holds a PhD in Cultural Studies and works in interdisciplinary capacities in Screen Cultures: as a lecturer, tutor and film consultant on issues of gender, sexualities and queer culture, scholar, filmmaker; in broadcast television as a seasonal Classification Officer and previously as a film Festival Director.
