The Conveners of the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE) Gender, Sexuality and Cultural Studies (GS&CS) Special Interest Group (SIG) would love to send the following announcement to its members, if possible:


AARE Gender, Sexualities and Cultural Studies SIG - 2018 Raewyn Connell Award:


The Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE) Gender, Sexualities and Cultural Studies SIG are pleased to announce a call for nominations for the 2018 Raewyn Connell award. This award is intended as a recognition of significant leadership in and contribution to building the fields of sexuality and gender research in education and the importance to establish mechanisms through which contributions to and leadership within these fields can be promoted and acknowledged. This award is targeted at mid-career researchers (5-10yrs post PhD).


Brief summary of application process:


To nominate an individual for the award, please submit a brief statement outlining the nominee's key contributions across four relevant areas of leadership: contributions to building the field(s), research, teaching, and service. This statement should not exceed two A4 pages, and should also include a CV. Self-nomination is also acceptable.

The deadline for applications is the 10th August 2018.
