[csaa-forum] Extended deadline for abstracts for 'Technologies of Memory and Affect' - now 8 January! Conference 16-17 Feb 2017 Adelaide

The deadline for abstracts for the February conference Technologies of Memory and Affect has been extended to 8 January.   The CFP is attached.


The conference is in Adelaide Feb 16 and 17, aligned with the dates of the Adelaide Fringe, as if you needed another reason to visit the beautiful and wine-laden city of Adelaide!


We call for research or creative engagements with ideas including but not limited to:


  *   Digital and/or personal activist storytelling
  *   Mediation or digitisation of affect (including prior media)
  *   Grassroots remembrance media (genealogy; disaster archiving; web memorials);
  *   Affect and digital histories (site-specific; mobile; in museum or gallery spaces);
  *   Gender and counter-discursive memories and memorialisation (within and across
  *   institutions, platforms, narratives);
  *   Heritage entertainment (reality TV; re-enactment; biographical media)
  *   Affective fandoms (subcultural conservation; transforming digital ephemera in
  *   material forms);
  *   Cultural and political economies of popular digital archives;
  *   Queerness, feminism, and digital affordances;
  *   Future pasts, material traces and queer temporalities;
  *   Digital age and historical value (erosion; accrual);
  *   Methodologies that intersect the visual and/or aural and/or material
