This lecture will address Felicity Scott's recently published book, Outlaw Territories: Environments of Insecurity/Architectures of Counter-insurgency, which traces the relation of architecture and urbanism to human unsettlement and territorial insecurity during the 1960s and 1970s. Scott will discuss the publication's contents and its historical and contemporary stakes, presenting new research that has opened up in its wake.


Felicity D. Scott is an associate professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where she also acts as Director of the PhD program in architecture (history and theory) and as Co-director of the program in Critical, Curatorial and Conceptual Practices in Architecture (CCCP)
