Please share widely!
The February 28 deadline for abstracts for the Australian and New Zealand Communication Association 2014 annual conference is fast approaching!
The 2014 ANZCA conference - The Digital and the Social: Communication for Inclusion and Exchange - will be held at Swinburne University in Melbourne from July 9 - 11, 2014.
Registration and the call for papers can be found at www.swin.edu.au/lss/ANZCA<http://www.swin.edu.au/lss/ANZCA>
ANZCA is also thrilled to announce two new additions to the conference schedule:
Firstly conference attendees will be pleased to learn of the inclusion of a keynote presentation by Professor Robert Picard, director of the Reuters Institute at Oxford University and a leading expert on media economics at ANZCA 2014. Professor Picard directs the Reuters Institute's projects across its main research areas examining changes in the business of journalism, the practice of journalism and journalism and accountability.
Secondly, postgraduates and ECRs who are ANZCA members and/or attending the conference are invited to attend a free pre-conference postgraduate event to be held on July 8, 2014 at Swinburne University. This very special all-day event (lunch included) will include mentoring from Ass Prof Michele Wilson, Ass Prof Tania Lewis, Dr David Nolan and Jonathan Hutchinson and broad discussion about how social media effects academic research. Social activities will also be included in the day's program, followed by an optional dinner in the local area.

The annual pre-conference symposium is a great opportunity for post-grads and ECRs to network and talk about their research with experienced and innovative mentors from around Australia. More information and registration details will be available on the conference website later this week.
We look forward to your company at Swinburne University in Melbourne for the ANZCA conference July 9-11.
