UNSW Arts and Social Sciences Postgraduate Evening 2011
Prospective MA (Research) and PhD stuents are invited to attend the 2011 UNSW Arts and Social Sciences Postgraduate Evening. This event provides a valuable opportunity to explore your research options and speak with our staff. Please forward this email to any other students who may be interested in postgraduate research at UNSW.

Special event for those considering a Master by Research or PhD
This event will include a series of presentations on research degree opportunities in the arts, humanities and social sciences, admission, scholarships, supervision and the research student experience. An informal time will be available afterwards to discuss your research interests with our academic staff.

The Postgraduate Coordinator from the School of English, Media and Performing Arts, Dr Michelle Langford and two current PhD students will be there to discuss research degree opportunities with prospective students in the following areas: English Literature, Creative Writing, Film and Cinema Studies, Theatre and Performance Studies, Media and Communication and Music.
Prospective students wishing to conduct research in the area of Modernism Studies are also strongly encouraged to attend as the School is looking to build a strong Postgraduate Research Community around the Centre for Modernism Studies in Australia under the directorship of Professor Julian Murphet.
The School provides a vital and vibrant research culture for postgraduate research, offering research workshops, opportunities to participate in staff/student research seminars and an annual Postgraduate Symposium. Scholarship applications for students with a First Class Honours degree or equivalent will be strongly supported.
