An exciting opportunity exists for an organised and innovative Research Assistant to join the team at the Centre for Cultural Research (CCR) http://www.uws.edu.au/ccr to work on the ARC Linkage project, Hot Science Global Citizens: the agency of the museum sector in climate change interventions http://www.hotscienceglobalcitizens.net/

Applicants should possess postgraduate qualifications at a masters level or higher in the fields of Cultural Studies, critical Museum Studies or another relevant discipline, and possess experience working as a Research Assistant in a team environment.

The research assistant will work closely with the interdisciplinary research team of academic and industry partners to: 

*       research relevant cultural theories 
*       research material for publications 
*       undertake qualitative research 
*       undertake analysis of empirical data 
*       work with the team to arrange the project symposium (5th-6th May 2011) and a parliamentary briefing (March 2011) 

The position is for a period of up to 5 months on a part-time basis (3 days a week) commencing in January.
