Announcement to all radio/media history/media/cultural studies researchers

Please come to a public lecture, Wednesday February 25, hosted by the Media,
Music and Cultural Studies Department of the Arts Faculty of Macquarie
University.

Who will be speaking?: Professor Andrew Crisell (UK, University of
Sunderland)

Andrew Crisell is Professor of Broadcasting Studies at the University of
Sunderland. He has written many authoritative books, book chapters and
journal articles in the field of broadcasting history and studies including
the books, Understanding Radio (1994), An Introductory History of British
Broadcasting (2002) and A Study of Modern Television: Thinking Inside the
Box (2006). He is a member of the editorial boards of the Radio Journal and
the Journal of Media Business Studies and has just co-written a book on
radio journalism with Dr Guy Starkey. He has also just edited a new title in
the Routledge 'Major Works" Series, a four volume reference collection:
Radio - Critical Concepts in Media and Cultural Studies.
