'Broadband & Mobiles in Canada'

This talk will present findings from two research projects,
one investigating broadband adoption and usage in Canada, the other
looking at the love-hate relationships people have with mobile
devices like Blackberries. The presenter will highlight some problems and
challenges anticipated in developing additional broadband capacity
(an issue the Australian government is tackling at the moment), and
present some insights into how mobile devices can help and hinder
work-life balance.

About the presenter:

Catherine Middleton is a faculty member in the Ted Rogers School of
Management at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, where she holds
a Canada Research Chair studying Communication Technologies in the
Information Society. Her research focuses on how people adopt and use
broadband and mobile technologies, with an interest in understanding
their beneficial and problematic characteristics.
