We've got a fantastic scholarship opportunity for anyone wanting the
study in the UK at postgraduate level in a creative field. Last year's
scholarship was won by Canberra architect Iain Maxwell who is currently
studying a the Architecture Association in London. If you could help us
by forwarding this information to anyone you think might be interested,
we'd be very grateful.

*The British Council is the UK's international organisation for
educational opportunities and cultural relations. We build relationships
and understanding between people in the UK and other countries. One of
the ways we do this is by offering scholarships and awards to talented
young Australians.*
*About the scholarship *
The objective of the Landerer UK Arts Scholarship is to strengthen the
relationship between the UK and Australia by supporting an outstanding
postgraduate student in the arts and creative industries to complete a
Masters course in the arts and design in the UK. **
The scholarship is $30,000 to contribute to the costs of tuition fees
and stipend.
The scholarship is managed on behalf of the Landerer family by the
British Council in Australia. John Landerer is a Sydney solicitor who
wishes to support closer ties between Australia and the UK.
*Criteria and eligibility *
The Scholarship is open to any Australian citizen aged 30 or younger on
1 October 2008.
In 2008, postgraduate studies in the UK in the following areas are
eligible for the scholarship:
v Architecture
v Design [Product, Automotive, Graphic, Fashion, Industrial]
v Fine art [Sculpture, Painting, Printmaking]
v Performing arts [Drama, Dance, Music, including all aspects of
performance, composition, writing, design, production and direction]
v Film, video, TV and radio
v Digital media [Interactive Leisure Software]
v
*Deadline and application forms*
Deadline for receipt of all applications including supporting
information and references is 5pm AEST on Friday 28 March 2008
