Hey Stephen - I have done work on 60s garage band the Pretty Things and 
their outrageous tour of NZ in August 1965 which turned the whole place 
upside down (not hard to do in 65). Have also just got back from 
Hamburg where I conducted a tour of all the venues where the Beatles 
played around the Reeperbahn between 1960-62, and collected Beatles and 
60s hamburg scene memorabilia. And discovered a compilation of 60s Thai 
rock songs, And am looking at 1960s garage bands in translation Italy 
and Finland. One interesting and unique thing about the 60s is that 
many English pop singers recorded in French, German, Spanish and 
Italian as well as English. So I am definitely up for a seminar or 
symposium. I guess if you're an old fart the sixties begin to rock more 
and more ...
