About Associate Professor Rosemarie Garland-Thomson

Rosemarie Garland Thomson, Associate Professor of Women's Studies at Emory
University, is the author of Extraordinary Bodies: Figuring Physical
Disability in American Literature and Culture (1997), editor of
Freakery: Cultural Spectacles of the Extraordinary Body (1996), and
co-editor (with Brenda Brueggemann and Sharon Snyder) of Disability Studies:
Enabling the Humanities (2002).

Masterclass for academics, PhD students, community activists and
professionals.

The Masterclass will involve some pre-reading in preparation for discussion
of the work of Associate Professor Rosemarie Garland-Thomson.

Date: Thursday 5th April

Time: 10am - 4pm (a light lunch will be provided)

Venue: W6A 107

(On-campus parking available on a 'pay and display' basis - please bring
loose change to purchase tickets from ticketing machines. Parking costs $7
for up to 3 hours on campus, and $10 for more than 4 hours. Disabled parking
spaces are available close to the building.)

IMPORTANT: Please note that bookings for this event are essential. There are
limited places in the class so those wishing to participate should register
as early as possible by email.
