Academic work is bound by prefixes.  Pre-modernist. Postcolonial.
Revisionist. Autobiographical. Unconventional. Abnormal. 

 

The English, Media Studies & Art History Postgraduate Society (EMAPS) at
the University of Queensland calls for papers which are a part of the
new popular prefixing that represent part of the current tendency to go
beyond traditional classifications.

 

Participants are invited to address any of the 'prefixed' academic
categories from   either a theoretical or critical perspective from any
of - but not restricted to - the analogous areas to English, Media and
Cultural Studies and Art History and, also, should see this as an
invaluable opportunity to create and develop academic and social
networks with other postgraduate students and academics from UQ and
outside.

 

Located in Brisbane, UQ is one of Australia's premier learning and
research institutions with some 37,000 students. The largest and oldest
university in Queensland, it's also a founding member of the national
Group of Eight, an alliance of Australia's most competitive,
research-intensive universities.

 

Please send a 200 to 300-word abstract together with a 50-word bio (on
same page, font Times New Roman size 12) by 7 July to wipconf at uq.edu.au
