Transdiciplinary Metamethodology - Wednesday 24 May 6.30-7.30

This talk concerns Guattari's deployment of schizoanalysis as a strategy
for reading other forms of modeling, in other words, a metamodel that is
neither general nor transcendent. For Guattari, sibjectivity itself poses
the problem of meta-modeling. This seminar will be based on my article
"Felix Guattari: Towards a transdisciplinary metamethodology," Angelaki 8
(2003): 129-40.

Felix Guattari developed his unique conception of subjectivity
through a meditation on its place between art and ecology. This lecture
provides a detailed reading of his book The Three Ecologies and uses
visual art and architectural examples to contextualize his thought.
