Actually, I always find the scuffles within a
disclipline/group/organisation far more interesting than those between
disciplines/groups/organisations.
I've thought more about 'cultural studies' (as a discipline), about the
sorts of things I want to do with my own work, and with my
intellectual/academic/discursive relationships with other people this week
than I have in long time.
Isn't it more interesting when we're scuffling, rather than when we're all
sitting busily working away at our desks on our own?
Or is that just me...? Now, where was that thread about early career
academics/postgrads and encouraging us into academic discourse...
