'The Literature of the Pacific Diaspora in New Zealand'
Stout Research Centre for New Zealand Studies, SEFT and Pacific Studies.

Literary commentary on Pacific writing has tended to focus on it as a
cultural product of the Pacific region. However a number of the most
significant Pacific writers have spent much of their lives in New
Zealand. This cross-genre study will examine the effects the Pacific
diaspora has had on New Zealand literature. How has the canon formation
of New Zealand literature been affected by writers of Pacific descent?
