[csaa-forum] Kind off topic: Accountants

Heavens - my first post to this list, and it's about taxation...

I have a friend who helped me out with exactly this set of curly questions
when I started my PhD. Yes, it initially seems insurmountable, but I did
end up sufficiently well informed to prepare my own tax return.

My friend does not work as a consultant, but may be happy to give you some
advice. Feel free to email me off list if you would like me to contact him
for you (marmcc at bigpond dot com).

Alternatively, if your question is simple, I may be able to direct you to
the relevant ATO information myself.

Now, just to make sure that I'm making the most of this list, perhaps I
should launch into a discussion of Australian content as a demand driver for
subscription television!
