who were able to attend the 2019 CSAA annual conference at UQ in December. It was very heartening, at the start of a firey summer that was about to get much worse, to hear all those wonderful and engaged papers. We need this vital community of cultural studies
researchers now more than ever, as we face what is shaping up to be another very challenging year ahead.</span></p>
