<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">Medical Humanities is an emergent and multi-disciplinary field of research, focusing on the social dimensions and impact of medical science and practice. It draws attention to the cultural
aspects of research in health and medicine, examining its historical, philosophical, literary and aesthetic dimensions. In the UK, EU and US, medical humanities is rapidly emerging as an important new field of research, recognised as a site of productive engagement
between research in the humanities and medical sciences. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

UK and collectively consider the opportunities this suggests for the emergence of a distinctively Australian medical humanities. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

QUEX-supported collaborative project on “Healthy Ageing.” It will also provide a networking opportunity for those interested in the emergence of medical humanities as a field of research and for those interested in exploring possibilities for multi-disciplinary
