<div style="margin:0 0 10pt 0;"><font face="Cambria" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt;"><font face="Calibri" color="black">The workshop on 'Listening beyond Liberalism' is open to postgraduate and early career researchers across a range of disciplines.
The workshop will discuss the limitations of a liberal politics of listening (including therapeutic and managerial frameworks) and explore theorisations and practices that push beyond the liberal frame, including those that engage with settler colonialism,
coloniality and decoloniality, intersectionality, critical disability studies, sound studies and more.

<div style="margin:0 0 10pt 0;"><font face="Cambria" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt;"><font face="Calibri" color="black"><i>Requirements:</i></font><font face="Calibri" color="black"> Participants will be expected to prepare two set readings on the topic
and a short overview of their own work. </font></span></font></div>

</font><font face="Calibri"><span lang="en-US"><b>Tanja Dreher</b></span></font><font face="Calibri"><span lang="en-US"> is an ARC Future Fellow, UNSW Scientia Fellow and Associate Professor in Media at the University of New South Wales. Her research focuses
on the politics of listening in the context of media and multiculturalism, Indigenous sovereignties, feminisms and anti-racism. Tanja’s current research project focuses on the politics of listening in response to community and activist media. </span></font></span></font></div>
