<p>I would be grateful if people could distribute this mail to potential local (Australian based) PhD students - current honours students etc.<br>

Jonathan Marshall, a future fellow at UTS, can offer a PhD stipend to a suitable candidate of A$25,000 per annum for three years. The PhD would be attached to a project on "Climate technologies and their unintended effects", where climate technologies includes
renewable energy, carbon trading, geoengineering, biofuels, community energy, and so on.

The Candidate would probably be expected to do some fieldwork for this project which would also be used for their own work. The precise nature of their thesis is open for discussion.<br>
<br>
The project is conducted under the Auspices of the UTS Climate Justice Centre, so there should be considerable support for the candidate, including co-supervisors.<br>
<br>
The date for applications closes at the end of this month. So, unfortunately, speed is necessary.<br>
