ANZCA 2015, Rydges Hotel, Queenstown, NZ, 8-10 July<br>

Join us under the winter sun of Queenstown for the 2015 Australian and New Zealand Communication Association conference. Postgraduate and early career researchers are welcomed to a free pre-conference on 7 July. We've negotiated a ski deal with nearby Coronet
Peak for the weekend after. Tours of fabulous Queenstown wineries also available.<br>

Highlights<br>
Five great keynote speakers, plus a presentation and a workshop on communicating science from Amanda McKenzie, chief executive of the Australian Climate Council.<br>
<br>
We have three $500 bursaries to award, in addition to prizes for best papers at the conference. We can also offer opportunities to publish your conference paper in a special issue of Media International Australia or in the new Routledge journal owned by ANZCA,
Communication, Research and Practice, or in the ANZCA Conference Proceedings.<br>

Pre-conference<br>
<span style="font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;"><font>We are delighted to invite you to attend the ANZCA preconference on 7 July which allows postgraduates and early career researchers to network, take part in interactive workshops with our keynote speakers and
other senior scholars, and to share challenges and insights. Events will also include a panel in which early career scholars share their stories.

Venue and registration<br>
The venue is the lakeside Rydges Hotel, which is offering a special conference rate of $150 a night. Queenstown is a tourist town and has a wide range of other accommodation options available as well.<br>
<br>
Registration: $399 (early bird rate till 1 May), $399 (ANZCA member rate, available till conference), $249 (student and unwaged rate). Conference dinner: add $90.<br>
<br>
Bursaries<br>
1) Indigenous junior scholarship: $500 towards the costs of one junior indigenous scholar (from any land), either a postgraduate student or an early career scholar. Kindly supported by the Royal Society of New Zealand.<br>
<br>
2) International scholarship: $500 towards the cost of one scholar from outside Australia and New Zealand. Preference will be given to scholars from the Pacific or countries with a low GDP. Preference also given to those in their early career, but all international
scholars may apply. Kindly supported by the Royal Society of New Zealand.<br>
<br>
3) Public Relations Institute of NZ scholarship: $500 for the best workshop or panel proposal submitted by one of its members. Supported by the Public Relations Imstitute of New Zealand.<br>
<br>
To be eligible for the indigenous scholar or international scholar bursaries, you must submit a full paper by the deadline of 27 February. On receiving acceptance for your paper, apply for a bursary by emailing
<a href="mailto:anzca2015@canterbury.ac.nz" target="_blank">anzca2015@canterbury.ac.nz</a>. To be eligible for the PRINZ award, you must by a member of PRINZ and submit a panel or workshop proposal by the deadline of 27 February (please mark your proposal 'PRINZ
award application'. Decisions will be made by conference organisers in consultation with members of the ANZCA Executive or, in the case of the PRINZ award, a panel agreed with PRINZ.<br>
<br>
Journal publication<br>
A special issue of Media International Australia will be proposed, based on papers submitted.<br>
<br>
A special issue of ANZCA's new journal, Communication, Research and Practice, will be published in February 2016, containing the best papers presented at the conference that fit within the journal's scope. More on the journal at

Ski deal<br>
The nearby Cardrona Ski Field is offering conference-goers reduced rates: $86 for a lift ticket, $129 for rental plus lift or $116 for a first-timer package (with instruction). Cheaper for students. We will email you after registration with further detail on
