<p class="WW-Default"><span style="text-align:justify"><font face="Helvetica" size="3">Interdisciplinarity has been alternately hailed as the only way to think through the complexity of our coming and contemporary worlds and reviled as superficial and parasitic.
While these two views might appear opposed, they also share some similarities in that they both cast interdisciplinarity as a departure, whereas some might argue that it marks a return to earlier epistemological practices. What does it mean to have a disciplinary
home, if at all, and how far can we travel from it? What are the problems and possibilities of such ‘field’ adventures? How do we do interdisciplinary work and how might we teach it? In this Hallway Conversation, four scholars from the School of the Arts and
Media talk about what interdisciplinary means for them and their research.</font></span></p>
