<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 19px; "><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Since the Islamic Revolution of 1979 in Iran, a massive number of Iranian writers have migrated to Western countries, first to the United States and
more recently to Australia. In the last decade, many of them started to publish literary texts of all genres in English, contributing to the multicultural literature of their host country. In this paper, we will study the differences and similarities of these
two diasporic literary spaces by comparing the different histories of migration and conditions of diaspora as well as by close-reading selected texts from Iranian-American and Iranian-Australian writers.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 19px; "><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">This study will allow us to reflect on the place of multicultural (also called ethnic) literature in the United-States and in Australia, as well as to
question the existence of and situation of a global Iranian literature in English within the wider context of World Literatures in English.</font></p>

and Media at UNSW. Her monograph <i>Orientalism versus Occidentalism: Literary and Cultural Imaging Between France and Iran since the Islamic Revolution</i> came out in 2013.</span></font></p>
