<div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Calibri,sans-serif">While contemporary nations pride themselves of their political stability, the reality is that our world is continuously experience revolt and revolution. From the events of the Arab Spring, to the
anti-austerity street marches in Europe, the reactionary TEA Party in the United States and the progressive ‘No Borders’ global movement, the solidity that nations strive for is continuously been threatened.</font></div>

<div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Calibri,sans-serif">It is within this frame that we are holding this first global conference to investigate contemporary and historical understandings of both revolt and revolution. The location of the conference, in
Athens (Greece) is of particular significance in the recent turbulent years that has seen the economic, cultural and social revolution of the European Union emerge. </font></div>
