<div align="justify">The Department of Media, Film and Communication invites applications for two positions at the rank of Lecturer to join an established and growing Department and build on core teaching and research activities in the Communication Studies
and Film and Media Studies majors.</div>

<div align="justify">The entry-level positions provide the opportunity to work within a strong, interdisciplinary and forward-looking Department dedicated to excellence in communication, cultural and media studies research and teaching. We are looking for individuals
engaged with current research in communication and media studies, and committed to high quality teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.</div>
<div align="justify"> </div>
<div align="justify">The successful applicants will either have, or will be close to completing, a PhD in Communication and/or Media Studies or related disciplines, have a record of scholarly productivity, the ability to teach a broad range of introductory
and advanced courses, including at first-year level, and an ability to successfully apply for research funding. Research experience with Maori and Pacific Island communities would be especially welcome.</div>

<div align="justify">Applications should include the following material: a letter of interest addressing teaching and research goals and a curriculum vitae with the names of three referees. Writing samples, teaching evaluations and a research plan will be required
for the next phase of the process but can be submitted with the initial application.</div>

<div align="justify">The successful candidate will need to be available to begin their appointment as soon as possible in 2013, and would need to take up the position no later than 15 June 2013.</div>
