Dear friends,<br><br>Issue 23 of <i>Colloquy: Text Theory Critique</i> will be launched on Tuesday August 21, at the Wheeler Centre (176 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne), as part of a public forum on "New Directions in Literary Studies," organised by the Research Unit in Literary Studies at Monash University. The forum will run from 5:30-7:30pm. The Colloquy launch will take place near the end of the forum, following all the presentations.<br>
<br>Issue 23 of Colloquy includes a special section of articles, guest edited by Xanthe Ashburner and Timothy Chandler, on the theme of "Pastoral Echoes." This section includes seven academic articles and one sequence of poems. The issue also includes two general articles in the area of literary theory, as well as a new translation of a text by Seneca, "On Leisure." <br>
