For over thirty years, Dr Shahidul Alam has
been using his extraordinary photography to advocate for social change.
Attacked, arrested, and threatened with death, Alam built what many consider
to be the finest photography school in the world, an award-winning agency,
and the world’s most diverse photography festival. Dr Alam will
lead a free public discussion on the role of ‘the visual’ in communication
for social change at The University of Queensland on Tuesday August 23
at 5.30pm.
