Dear Colleague,<BR>

The Australian Academy of the Humanities has been awarded a grant by the Australian Research Council to look into how the academic humanities are faring in Australia at the moment. The Humanities in Australia Today (HAT) project aims to form a clear picture of how the humanities are going now, and where we are heading.<BR>

<BR>

We are running a brief online survey to find out more about the present challenges for humanities research and teaching, the characteristics of the humanities workforce, and how and where the humanities have contracted and expanded across the university sector.<BR>

This knowledge will help us present a better case for support and advancement of the humanities.<BR>
