Raunig is the author of Art and Revolution (Semiotexte, 2007). His book, A
Thousand Machines, will be translated into English this year. He is a
philosopher and art theoretist who lives in <st1:City w:st="on">Vienna</st1:City>
and lectures at the <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Klagenfurt</st1:PlaceName> and the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Luneburg</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>.
He is the co-director of eipcp (European Institute for Progressive Cultural Policies),<st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Vienna</st1:place></st1:City>, which publishes
the journal transversal. He is coordinator of the transnational research
