[csaa-forum] Review essay on Kāinga, Property, and Home in Settler Colonial Contexts

Dear CSAA Colleagues,


My colleague Dr. Pounamu Jade Aikman has recently published a review essay on Paul Tapsell's Kāinga: People, Land, Belonging. In the review essay, Aikman explores the relationship between settler colonisation, Indigenous dispossession, and racial capitalism in the Aotearoa context. He then outlines how expansive notions of home and the environment contrast with commodified notions of home and property. It's an excellent read for scholars interested in the issues.
