We’re looking for a new level B lecturer in Digital Cultures<https://usyd.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/USYD_EXTERNAL_CAREER_SITE/details/Lecturer-in-Digital-Cultures_0092488>.



The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of critical, reflexive research and be able to articulate strong intellectual and pedagogical visions across the interdisciplinary spectrum of digital cultures teaching and research fields, which include: Internet cultures and governance, platform-based digital entertainment, emerging technologies (AI, AR/VR, Internet of Things, robotics), digital policy and regulation, and human-machine communication.



They would have responsibility for unit coordination in some of the following: Digital Audiences and Creators; Internet Cultures & Governance; Games and Mixed Realities; Past and Futures of Digital Cultures. They would work with the Digital Cultures academic group on development of a new first-year foundational unit, and a new unit on platform-based digital entertainment.



The position is a teaching/research position, that will include HDR supervision. The successful candidate will be expected to develop curriculum and undertake research leadership that also informs teaching and curriculum development.
