[csaa-forum] Infrastructural Inequalities: Panel Discussions and Workshop

Dear CSSA,

Infrastructural Inequalities is hosting a couple of events on May 14 and May 17. These follow the publication of the journal Policing, Abolition, Crisis<https://infrastructuralinequalities.net/issue-2/>.

On the mornings of Friday May 14th and Monday May 17th there are two panel discussions scheduled that will be streamed on YouTube.

Critiquing the Carceral State, Organising Abolitionist Futures
Friday May 14th, 11:30-13:00
Featuring: Tabitha Lean, Debbie Kilroy, Behrouz Boochani, and Omid Tofighian, with Andrew Brooks

Resistant Media and Abolitionist Storytelling
Monday May 17th, 10:00-11:30
Featuring: Alison Whittaker with Astrid Lorange; Johanna Bell and Rocket Bretherton with Liam Grealy

On the afternoon of Monday May 17th, Infrastructural Inequalities will also run a workshop titled Building Research Cultures and Infrastructures of Study. This in-person workshop is aimed at HDR students and ECRs with an interest in thinking about various forms of academic production and collaboration. If you are interested, please submit a short application by 5pm Monday April 26th.
