Greetings all,
I am undertaking a PhD at the University of Sydney, looking into how young adults are using social media to stay informed about the world around them. I’m particularly interested in how people set up and then interact with social media apps on the daily, and what kinds of things they see being discussed or shared on these sites as a result. Participating in the study will contribute to our understanding of how we are enacting agency on social media platforms, and what this might mean for the future of information sharing online.
I am looking for Australian participants for my digital ethnographic research study, in particular anyone from regional, rural and remote parts of Australia. Participants need to be between 18 – 30 years of age, and active on at least one social media platform. Given the current pandemic interviews would be conducted online via Zoom, so participants would also need access to a stable internet connection to participate.
Full study details are available in the attached Participant Information Statement (PIS).
I would appreciate if you could circulate this call for participants within your networks.
Anyone interested can see more information and register to participate on my blog<http://happyinmypants.com/2021/273/>.
I can also be contact via email at Agata.Stepnik at sydney.edu.au<mailto:Agata.Stepnik at sydney.edu.au>, or DM me @The_Gusia on Twitter or @gusialavegana on Instagram
Thanks in advance,
Agata
