Dear Colleagues,

As the 2021 academic year gets underway for many of us, I wanted to write to thank those of you who attended the 2020 online CSAA AGM, and to update everyone about some key changes to the CSAA organisation and structure.

During 2020, the CSAA Executive undertook a major review of the CSAA constitution, organisational structure, record keeping and financial systems. This was the first time this material had been updated since the inception of the CSAA twenty years ago, so an overhaul was definitely due!

The new constitution was approved at the AGM, and can now be seen here: http://csaa.asn.au/about/csaa-constitution/

Many thanks also to the fabulous CSAA 2020 “Bodies in Flux” conference team, who put on a wonderful PreFix day in December last year for HDR, ECR and independent researchers.

The link for the 2021 CSAA conference, which has been rolled over from last year, can be found here: https://www.csaa2021conference.com<https://www.csaa2021conference.com/>. There will be more updates from the conference team as they come to hand.

The CSAA Executive is keen to support the changing needs of its membership in these trying times, and welcomes feedback about how it can best do so in 2021. Please feel free to respond to this email address should you have any suggestions or comments.

With best wishes,
Elizabeth
