COVID-19 has led to a rise in misunderstanding, inequality, discrimination and conflict between races, cultures and nations. Therefore, intercultural dialogue is needed more than ever to promote cross-cultural cooperation and build solidarity during and post the pandemic. The panel brings scholars from Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of Nottingham Ningbo and Deakin University to discuss a variety of social, cultural and political issues in the pandemic from a comparative or cross-cultural perspective, including fake news, face mask use, wildlife trade and consumption, international relations and news.
