Perth colleagues and friends might be interested in the below Research,
Community and Engagement event "Combatting Populism" (Wed, 12 September,
4-6pm, UWA Social Sciences Lecture Theatre), part of Social Sciences Week

Please join Professor John Keane (The University of Sydney), Professor Mark
Beeson (UWA), Fremantle Mayor Dr Brad Pettitt, Dr Jasmina Brankovic, Jaime
Yallup, and community members for a lively discussion on how we can address
(and have already been addressing!) right-wing populism and protect social
justice and ethical societies.
