We are pleased to announce that Professor Purnima Mankekar from UCLA will give a seminar at UNSW entitled "Affective Sovereignties: Mobility, Emplacement, and Communication in a Transnational World". It will be held in the School of Arts and Media on Wednesday 12 July from 3pm, and will be chaired by Professor Ramaswami Harindranath. There is no need to register.

Purnima Mankekar is Professor of Gender Studies and Asian American studies at UCLA and concurrently Professor in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. Her most recent book is “Unsettling India: Affect, Temporality, Transnationality" (Duke University Press).
