This one-day workshop is designed for postgraduate students and early career researchers (ECRs). It features leading international locative media researchers, Christian Licoppe (Télécom ParisTech), Jordan Frith (University of North Texas), and Raz Schwartz (Cornell Tech). The workshop focuses on research methods issues and questions pertaining to the study of mobile and location-based media technologies. Some of the methodological areas the workshop will cover include digital ethnography, social media analysis and data visualisation, and the tensions between physical mobility and digital connectivity.
