REMINDER:
Folks, just a quick note to mention that Expressions of Interest for 2013 CSAA Intermezzo are due next Friday, 16th August. Further to the earlier message (as below), if you require any further details, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Cheers,

Dear Cultural Studies Colleagues,
Just a quick announcement to note that Expressions of Interest for 2013
CSAA Intermezzo Symposia are currently being called.
Unfortunately there will be no CSAA Conference for 2013. It has been a
difficult year for many universities, with restructures, redundancies,
program changes and similar organisational shifts making the prospect of
hosting a major conference just too much of an impost.
As an alternative to a major conference, and in the interests of
maintaining connections and collegiality between members, the CSAA
invites expressions of interest from members to hold short 1-2 day
'Intermezzo' symposia at their institution on Cultural Studies and
related topics. The intent of the Intermezzo is detailed in the
'Intermezzo Structure and Guidelines' document available
here<http://csaa.createsend1.com/t/r-l-otjkio-jtlthydluy-u/>
(https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_f1-yVGeFAGZk9TVS1jbzlOQzQ/edit)
A bursary of up to AU$2000 each for 3 separate events is available in
2013, with further events to be funded in the first half of 2014.
The purpose of the Intermezzo is to generate and maintain collegiality-
so, if you have a network of colleagues and would like to host an event
to discuss and further a project, initiative or similar, we encourage you
to forward an expression of interest.
Expressions of Interest using the form contained in the 'Intermezzo
Structure and Guidelines' document should be sent to the President of the
CSAA, Andrew Hickey
(Andrew.Hickey at usq.edu.au<mailto:Andrew.Hickey at usq.edu.au><mailto:Andrew.Hickey at usq.edu.au><mailto:Andrew.Hickey at usq.edu.au%3E>) by CoB 16th
August 2013.
Andrew
