[csaa-forum] Social, Casual, Mobile: Changing Games (Free Preconference, Perth, 2 July 2013)

The Social, Casual, Mobile: Changing Games one day preconference takes
place on 2 July at the Bentley campus of Curtin University (in Perth,
Western Australia) immediately before the main ANZCA conference.

In additional to the keynote speaker Mia Consalvo - Canada Research Chair
in Game Studies and Design at Concordia University in Montreal - and
plenary speaker John Banks - senior lecturer , games researcher and author
of the recently released Co-creating Videogames – a further 17 scholars
will be presenting work at the preconference.

A limited number of places are available for interested scholars who would
like to participate in the preconference in addition to the presenters.
Attending the preconference is free, and includes a light lunch and
networking drinks to wrap the day. To register as a conference attendee,

Numbers are limited (only 30 places available for those attending, not
including the presenters) so please only register if you are definitely
able to be at the preconference. You do NOT have to be attending the main
ANZCA conference to participate in the preconference.

We are very excited about the diverse range of presenters and papers that
will be given at the preconference. It's looking to be a vibrant discussion
and exploration of shifting nature of games and game players of all types
in an era increasingly dominated by social, casual and mobile play.
