Multimedia University’s (MMU) Faculty of Creative Multimedia will be offering a new BA (Hons) in Cinematic Arts, starting June 2013, and is looking to fill different positions related to this programme.

The programme has been designed in collaboration with the University of Southern California’s (USC) School of Cinematic Arts and will be offered at MMU's brand new EduCity campus in Johor Bahru, Malaysia - in close proximity to Pinewood's newly established Iskandar Malaysia Studios.

The collaboration between MMU, Malaysia’s highest rated private university, and USC, the world’s leading film school, promises an exciting programme for those aspiring to have a career in the movie industry. The programme's close proximity to Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios will give students the opportunity to study first hand the cinematic industry at work, providing an insider’s experience before graduation. 

MMU is now looking to hire part/full-time lecturers/senior lecturers/associate professors/professors (depending on experience and qualifications) for it’s Cinematic Arts programme, who either possess a Masters or preferable Doctoral degree in a field related to film studies and/or can demonstrate extensive practical experience in at least one of the following areas: 
Screenwriting 
Cinematography
Video Editing
Producing (including financing, marketing, distribution)

Other areas of expertise will be considered. Practical experience is essential as is the enthusiasm and ability to teach film production on a theoretical as well as practical level. 

This is an opportunity for academics in the field of media, cultural or film studies with practical experience in film production or those with professional experience in the field.
