[csaa-forum] Symposium: Australian Social Sciences in the Asian Century: PLEASE REGISTER BY 13 November 2012

The Annual Symposium of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia this year will focus on Australian Social Sciences in the Asian Century.

 Speakers will respond to the just-released White Paper on Australia in the Asian Century and will consider what we can learn from an engagement with the diverse social science traditions in the region.

Speakers include Sujata Patel (University of Hyderabad), Chua Beng Huat (National University of Singapore), Sylvia Estrada-Claudio (University of the Philippines), Raewyn Connell (University of Sydney) and
Simon Marginson (University of Melbourne).

The one-day symposium will be held on 20 November 2012 in the Shine Dome in Canberra.

 The Annual Symposium and Cunningham Lecture are open to non-Fellows.

Registrations will be accepted until 13 November 2012.
