Australia Forum on Sexuality, Education and Health
Inaugural meeting, Melbourne 19 November 2012

Please find below details for the forthcoming Inaugural Meeting of the
Australia Forum on Sexuality, Education and Health.

The forum aims to bring together researchers, policy makers and
practitioners from across the fields of sexuality, education and
health.  The goal is to discuss and debate contemporary issues and
concerns, build and consolidate networks, and develop joint projects
and initiatives together.

There has been immense interest in the forum since the idea was
launched in discussions with a range of people across the country, led
by Professor Peter Aggleton, who ran a similar forum in London.

We are launching the forum (which will meet regionally) at an inaugural meeting in Melbourne on the evening of Monday 19 November, just before the 1st National Sexualand Reproductive Health Conference.

The evening will include short provocations on the topic of
"Interdisciplinary imaginings of sexualities education research in
Australia", plus plenty of time for networking and discussion.

Confirmed speakers include Simon Blake, OBE (Brook, UK), Professor Dr
Ine Vanwesenbeeck (Rutgers WPF), Professor Peter Aggleton (UNSW), Dr
Mary Lou Rasmussen (Monash) & Dr Daniel Marshall (Deakin).

Date: Monday 19 November

Time: Presentations commence at 6.00  Presentations and Discussion
should conclude at approximately 7.30.  Followed by drinks at own cost
at local bar, etc.

Venue: Lecture Room #104 Level 1, ARCSHS, 215 Franklin St, Melbourne.
