Notice of an important and generous prize in disability and
telecommunications below (apologies for x-posting).

A reminder (or first notice) that entries for the 2013 prize round, in
recognition of the late Rev Canon Dr Christopher Newell's contribution to
the Australian telecommunications industry, close 15 January 2013, with
awards and publication scheduled for May 2012.

The competition is managed by the Telecommunications Journal of Australia
(TJA) Managing Editor, Dr Peter Gerrand, on behalf of the ACS-TSA
(Telecommunications Society of Australia; a Special Interest Group of the
Australian Computer Society). Generous prizes will be awarded for the
best, original papers offered for publication by TJA that demonstrate the
tangible benefits that an innovative use of communications technologies
and/or digital inclusion programs can deliver for people with disability.

The competition is open to entries world-wide. Note that the criteria has
been broadened to include digital inclusion programs as well as
communications technologies.
