A Symposium exploring fairy tales and the cultural imagination.

         Fairy Tales Re-imagined: 
Enchantment, Beastly Tales and Dark Mothers

to be held at UTS on Saturday 13th October brings together writers, artists and thinkers to explore their fascination with fairy tales, their motifs, themes and layers of meaning. They discuss how old stories inspire and inhabit new forms.

Speakers include: Meredith Jones (keynote, UTS); novelists Kate Forsyth (Bitter Greens) and Margo Lanagan (Sea Hearts and Tender Morsels); visual artists Agnieszka Golda (UOW) and Jazmina Cininas (RMIT); filmmaker and Jungian analyst Sarah Gibson (UTS); writers and cultural commentators Susan Murphy, Catherine Cole (UOW) and Colin Harvey (UWS).
