Apologies for cross posting…

Hi Everyone,

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all those people who have supported the Senses of Cinema crowdfunding campain with contributions of all sizes since we began about a month ago. Donations to date have brought us two thirds of the way to reaching our target amount which will ensure our ongoing viability for the next twelve months. We’re going to feel a lot more secure once we’ve passed that point.

If you still haven’t donated, please help us reach our goal, which will ensure Senses remains free for everyone to access.

We’ve added some exciting new incentives – a couple of special packages of great titles from University of Illinois Press, as well as single titles from their Contemporary Film Directors series for smaller contributions. Do dig as deep as you can!

Issue 60 is now available online and includes a dossier on director, Fred Schepisi, including an interview and articles on his past films as well as his latest, a dramatisation of Patrick White’s novel, The Eye of the Storm. Feature articles include pieces on the unconventional subtitling of Godard’s Film Socialisme and Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life. Plus festival reports, book reviews, new Great Directors pieces and much, much more.

Thanks again to all our supporters, and thanks in advance to all of those about to donate!
