*Abstract:* Internet is now a mainstream media. Instead of asking about its
potential we discuss the impact of social networking. How do we 'master' the
24/7 realtime platforms? This lecture will give an overview of recent
literature of net critics and theorists and discuss alternatives to the
current monopoly social media such as Facebook and Twitter? How can we make
full use of the social networking functionalities while gaining autonomy
over our privacy and restore the internet as a truely decentraled,
distributed and open network. Users, tear down that walled garden!

*Free event. All welcome.*
